Enhanced Data Tree

There are several enhancements to the popular Data Tree in version 5.0.  The Data Tree is a hierarchical list on the right side of the GMS window containing the objects associated with a particular module.  It is a convenient tools for selecting, deleting, and otherwise managing GMS data.  In version 5.0, additions to the Data Tree include:

Particle Sets

In version 4.0, particle sets for MODPATH-based particle tracking were managed using a Particle Sets Dialog.  This dialog has been eliminated and particle sets are managed using the Data Tree.  Display status for particle sets is controlled by the toggles and a pop-up menu can be used to delete, rename, and copy particle sets.  Selecting the Properties command or double-clicking on a particle set brings up a list of the particle set properties (similar to the old Particle Sets dialog).  The properties control the tracking direction, tracking durations, etc.

CAD Layers

CAD data are also included in the Data Tree.  This makes it possible to toggle the display individual layers.  In a DWG or DXF file that has been imported to GMS.

Images

Imported digital images are now stored in the Data Tree.  Check out the New Digital Image Tools for an illustration.

Multi-Select

It is now possible to "multi-select" objects in the Data Tree.  This makes it easier to move/delete several items at once.
