Isolate

In many cases it is useful to hide all of the current objects but one. One way to do this is to select all of the objects to hide (without selecting the desired object) and then select the Hide command. A quicker way to achieve the same result on one or more objects is to use the Isolate command in the Display menu. The Isolate command makes the selected items visible and automatically makes all other items of the same type invisible.
