Once an MT3DMS simulation is saved, MT3DMS can be launched by selecting the Run MT3DMS command from the MT3D menu. If changes have been made to the project, the user will be prompted to save the simulation. The current MT3D simulation will be used to run MT3D. The MT3D executable listed in the Preferences dialog will be used. If the user has selected to view the model output with the model wrapper, MT3D output will be displayed with the model wrapper. Otherwise, MT3D will be run in a command prompt window. With either option, as the simulation proceeds, you should see some text output in the window reporting the solution progress.
When MT3DMS finishes successfully, the solution is automatically loaded and contours are turned on for the current data set. The solution and output files are organized in a MT3D solution folder in the Project Explorer.
