The Map module provides a suite of tools for using GIS or feature objects. These objects consist of points, nodes, arcs and polygons, each tied to a location (or locations), and each with related attributes.
Data in Map Modules are organized into coverages, which are specified to be of a defined type. The type of the coverage determines what attributes may be assigned to the objects in the coverage.
The map module is used to create conceptual models as well as for model calibration.
