A tailwater rating curve is required as part of the culvert hydraulic computations in HY8. The rating curve can be defined explicitly if already computed for the reach just below the culvert location, or channel geometry (exact or approximate) can be entered and a tailwater rating curve computed using the HY8 Tailwater Data dialog.
